Position Summary

Responsible for leading the design and drafting of mid-sized custom equipment projects. This role interprets specifications, develops 3D models and drawings, and collaborates with engineering and production teams to deliver efficient and manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings
• Interpret P&IDs, specifications, and customer requirements
• Lead design execution for mid-sized equipment projects
• Select materials and components based on cost and performance
• Maintain design libraries and standard components
• Support production with accurate bills of materials and drawings
• Identify design improvements and cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards
• Participate in project meetings and design reviews

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical or engineering-related field
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience
• Proficiency in CAD software (3D modeling and 2D drafting)
• Experience with product data management systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
