Position Summary

Leads the design and execution of large, complex custom equipment and system projects. This role coordinates across multiple teams, develops advanced design solutions, and mentors junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design of large-scale, complex equipment and systems
• Develop advanced 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings
• Coordinate design efforts across engineering, production, and project teams
• Interpret complex specifications and develop optimized design solutions
• Oversee design standards, revision control, and documentation processes
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Support software tools, workflows, and design system improvements
• Evaluate cost, manufacturability, and risk in design decisions

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience
• Advanced proficiency in CAD and data management systems
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience preferred
